Woodcut Book Project
The technique of woodcut has a decelerating effect in the digital age. Schatten translated shadow, is the tenth book of the series which is published under the direction of Prof. Ellen Sturm at HAW Hamburg. Step by step from the design to editing to printing and binding, 20 different artists have created various stories on the subject of shadows. My story is about the rear of the building that is not made to be seen. Not properly designed but nevertheless designed. Printed at HAW Hamburg and bound by the bookbinder Michael Knop in Berlin.
